I thought this picture was interesting. Check out how far technology has come in 10 years. This is only Apple but it still draws a pretty neat perspective.

Since it’s launch AdFrontiers has served more than 5 billion ads and is used by over a dozen clients.
We’re constantly adding new features and technology to AdFrontiers. It’s a must! How else would our ‘baby’ hold up to the ever-expanding online ad marketplace? It wouldn’t! Innovation is key.

I’m sorry I haven’t been posting anything awesome/interesting about the internet or gadgets etc. I’ve been busy doing media buying. In between buying ad space on fabulous news sites (Hello, our glorious publishers!) I was doing some browsing and came across a gadget that I will need to have, the NoteSlate.
The NoteSlate is a “13-inch e-ink tablet that mimics paper. You can jot down notes with the stylus and store them digitally—so simple, yet so awesome. I’d never buy a Moleskine again. Coming out in June 2011 for $100″ (Gizmodo)
Look at how beautiful that ‘tablet’ is. It almost makes me wish I were a student. I am a girl though and my inner-girly-ness freaked out when I saw the different color/ink versions of the NoteSlate. Check out the slide show on noteslate.com and prepare to drool all over your keyboard.
Now I know there are tablet fiends out there; the NoteSlate is not for you. The NoteSlate is attractive to me because it is simple and I like to draw. You cannot browse the internet, post Facebook statuses or update your twitter etc. on the NoteSlate. It is simply an electronic piece of paper (the website boasts that it even feels like paper) with the power of a very crude word processor (aka all it does it save.)
The NoteSlate has three buttons; save current screen, show last screen & delete current screen. It’s so easy! It comes with a pen that is magnetic to the screen. It will be so hard to lose that pen. but if you do? No worries! The NoteSlate allows you to use a regular pen/pencil when you choose to work in ‘natural mode’.
And don’t fret – there’ s a mini-USB plug so you can import all of your work. There’s also an SD Card slot, which is fantastic. And if you like to listen to music while you take notes there is a headphone jack.

I know, I know, I know….I have been a post slacker. It’s for good reason though…I’ve been super busy looking for awesome new publishers for our network.
So I’m browsing around the internet, doing my publisher-hunting thing, and I run into this crazy “gadget“. It’s home belongs in the world of prosthetics. Instead of having a fake arm, a hook, or a wooden post you can opt for the tentacle!!
The prosthetic tentacle is a creation designed by Kaylene Kau, a 2010 graduate of the University of Washington’s Industrial Design Program for her senior project which “aimed at pushing the boundaries of current upper-limb prosthetic design.” (CNET)
What’s really neat about this design/project is the inspiration. “The prosthetic project was inspired by Joanne Tilley, whose arm was amputated below the left elbow and who is also a friend of University of Washington design professor Magnus Feil. Feil challenged his students to design an alternative to Tilley’s prosthetic, essentially a crude hook attached to a plastic base, that were affordable yet stylish enough that wearers wouldn’t be embarrassed to wear them. “
I don’t know about you people, but I am impressed! Here’s some more pics:

Phew – we have been so busy! Ad:Tech NY 2010 was more of a success than we ever anticipated. Even though we forgot our camera we still managed to take a couple of pictures and we wanted to share them with all of you!
We also met a lot of interesting characters during our visit, but none were as crazy as ‘Question Mark Guy’ – you know, the guy who has late night info-mmercials about raking in ‘free money from the government’.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll surely say it again, Ad:Tech NY 2010 was a MAJOR success! Such a success that our Director of Ad Operations brought in so much business that we actually gave him a cookie! It even had sprinkles!

Wow, we are exhausted! Ad:Tech NY 2010 was a great experience; it was a lot of work but we had a some really great times, met some amazing people and continued to promote the reputation of J Carter Marketing, Inc. and our original ad server, AdFrontiers.
Despite being next to a booth handing out iPads and doing magic tricks the J Carter Marketing team stood strong and made some great contacts. We’re excited to see what new business Ad:Tech will bring to us and our consistently growing network.
I also made a brief publicity appearance in IMedia Connection’s blog about Ad:Tech NY 2010. IMedia Communication, Inc. is, “a trade publisher and event producer serving interactive media and marketing industries.” I’m representing J Carter Marketing, Inc in the last interview, Check out my almost 30 seconds of fame!
